For Students Ages 12-17

FILM ACTING INTENSIVE 2
This class will use current scripts from film and television to incorporate skills that casting directors want to see. Focus will be on how to keep the acting natural, make the right character choices, and how to take the scene from page to set.

For Students Ages 15+

COMMERCIAL TECHNIQUE
Commercial acting is completely different from theatrical acting. In this 8-week class, you will learn how to find an agent, slate, break down a commercial script, find the key words, deliver it to the camera in a commercial manner, and book the job. Note that this class begins November 14 (one week later than the other classes in the session) and runs 8 (not 9) weeks.

For Students Ages 18+

ADULT SCENE STUDY/ON CAMERA
Pre-requisite - Private Film or Film Acting Intensive III. Students in this class will dive into scripts from current film and television and build the characters from the ground up. Through working in pairs and groups, the class will prepare scenes for the camera, and work on techniques to give truthful performances grounded in the reality of each scene. The emphasis of this class will be on fully developing characters and how to audition for that role. Students will have their work filmed, watch it back, and receive helpful critiques to improve their on camera technique.

ADULT MEISNER
The Meisner Method is about finding the truth in your work, leaving “acting” behind in favor of reacting, truly listening to your scene partner and acting from your heart, not your script. We’ll start with objective repetition, work into a more subjective repetition, then raise the stakes with a knock at the door. You’ll learn the reality of doing, not pretending, so that you can produce emotion any time you need it.

For Students Ages 50+

ADVANCED IMPROV/SCENE STUDY
This class is designed to rotate between improv skills, acting for the camera, auditioning, and scene study. Each week the class will build upon the foundational skills learned in previous courses. For students who have completed Film Intensive III and ages 50-99.

For Students of All Ages

PRIVATE FILM ACTING LESSONS
Private film acting lessons are designed to work one on one with the instructor to breakdown scripts, analyze characters and scenes, and deliver an honest truthful performance. Using techniques from famous programs in Los Angeles, you will develop the skills to progress your film acting career and nail auditions. Due to the high demand for private film, lessons are limited to one 30-minute session per student per week.
